Title of the series of artwork: Chromamorphien
My works from the series Chromamorphien are to be assigned to color field painting. The theme that runs through all my works is colour. My central concern is to let it become present as an own pictorial reality. Although form has a certain significance for me, colour is the absolute priority. For me, colour is a living and changeable substance, which comes from the depth of the picture like a universal force. Colour, freed from meaningful representation, is sufficient for itself and its magic only really appears when the spirituality of the representational has also evaporated.
My first works were created between 1996 and 1999 in Argentina. The sea of colours of the folkloristic robes, the morning and evening moods in the pampas, where the sky tones presented themselves in an unimaginable range of light colours, were perhaps the most lasting events for my work today.
Inspired by the bright colours of nature and the translucent and clear light colours of the sky, which merge softly and gracefully into each other without creating a mixed colour, the colour gradient became my obsession. To get closer to the colours of light, to paint ever softer, more flowing and more delicate, but equally in powerful bright colours, is my unique selling point and recognition feature and at the same time my intention.

Used technique and materials:
In the course of time I have developed my own technique. In the first place is the preparation of my painting ground. The actual painting is based on about 25-35 layers of primer. Thereby I achieve a glassy smooth painting ground, which makes the fine line in the painting possible. I achieve my bright and deep colours by applying glazes. This is also done in many layers. One of my works consists of up to 120 layers of paint.
