O-A: Who or what has inspired me artistically?
Simone Bonnett: I take my love of colour from the places I have travelled. From the African markets to the colours in the Mediterranean, it all inspires me to experiment with different combos and media.

O-A: How has my art changed over time?
Simone Bonnett: I started off with acrylic pouring which was a fun but ultimately uncontrolled experience. I looked around for a more robust medium and discovered resin which is an unpredictable but very satisfying medium. My art has progressed as a result of the media that I use which means that the subject matter is dictated by what I can achieve without overworking the resin. I’ve also progressed from canvas to wooden cradled boards because I like the permanence of that substrate and the substantial weight of it.
.
O-A: What names do I give my artworks?
Simone Bonnett: I tend to be fairly literal in what I name them and rely on some literal aspect of the picture itself.
