Bio

I was born in Argentina and I live in Buenos Aires. I studied art at the National School of Visual Arts in Buenos Aires. I received in 1978 and from that date I started my artistic career. In all this time, I have gone through numerous artistic stages; always seeking to achieve an original work and born from the visual and expressive search. I am a Latin American artist, but although my work refers to the foundations and foundations of the art where I live, it also has plastic foundations of other artists in the world that have always interested me. I work in series, according to the material used, but in the background, each work maintains an image of its own image. I always liked working with different techniques and researching each work, to arrive at a result that in general always amazes me. It has been a long time since I made my first work I hope to continue discovering these new worlds with art.
I have made numerous samples in the country and abroad, having obtained 13 national and 3 international awards

Art Statement

My work is based on the visual-plastic development of the signs and drawings made by the ancient peoples of northern Argentina. More than 20 years ago, I am looking for and extracting the ones that most interested me from a visual and expressive point of view. At the beginning, I put them almost without changing them, but over time, a style emerged in me, which is what I wanted to achieve. A style that no longer has to go to find information, but from so much work has been only the synthesis that leads me to use it as a basis to reach another visual world. Since then I have made different series of paintings, drawings, mixed media and sculptures where this new imaginary universe appears. Currently, I believe that this universe is more spiritual than physical, although it alludes to a natural environment. The signs have also become figures and forms that reflect an inner mystique: I could say that they are no longer particular signs of South America, but can be united with others from other distant cultures in time and space. Finally, I have added to my work the use of new technologies such as electrography, digital art and digital photography intervened.
