Art has always played a pivotal role in my life. Over the years and throughout my art education I have tried many different and various art techniques and mediums. My more specialised skills lie in fine art painting, drawing and graphics creating art work both traditional and realistic to modern and abstract. I also enjoy creating and exploring textiles and construction techniques through sewing and layering. My more recent works explore the use of colour, texture and pattern. These works reflect the world around me and explore the relationships between colour and texture combined with bold marks and strokes. I also combine these ‘tradional’ forms of creativity with distorting and developing through the use of digital media. This helps to create a sense of depth, movement, texture and shape in my art.
