Art Statement
The goal of my art is not to present the external manifestation of things but their internal character.I gradually abandons the figurative expression and enters the field of abstraction. I explore the internal meaning of the painting and its artistic elements by forming dynamic compositions.
The surfaces of the paintings are often elaborated and contain several colours within their boundaries.
The powerful rhythm of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines is often balanced with decorative elements which emphasise the tender character of the compositions.
The focal point is the movement within the painting, and the opening of the compositions which continue their motion beyond the picture frame.
Giving the two-dimensional form to recognisable shapes, I liberates myself of the mimesis, while the rhythm and dynamics of lines, colours and shapes are brought into the forefront.
