Nataša Gregorič NABHAS – series “NABHAS XXL CANVAS”

Description of series idea:
1.Description of the concept of the series of artworks:
The concept of my work is intertwining, internalization, and life inspiration from:
• Impressionism, pointillism, divisionism
• Abstract art
• Atoms in the universe
• New painting media, exploring, and understanding
• Communication with painting media, the painter, and the spectator
• Message to the world
I work on capturing a moment that keeps evolving with subjective synthesis, poetics, emoting, and inspiration. Basing everything on my own perspective – which inevitably involves optical perception – I tend to round the concept out by bringing in four omnipresent elements; object, space, light, and colour. Introducing strong unblended primary colours of alcohol ink, stroke after stroke, point to point, leads to silhouette obfuscation and its eventual fading.

Contour begins to disappear, the line is blurred. Optical mixing of colours is therefore of key importance as the spectator only perceives the paintings in their entirety – a result of colours adding up, blending, and intensifying. I paint with either long or short strokes, quick and strong pressure or light touch. The technique yields an impression of light and shadow; the objects are left beaming with life and the painting gives off an impression of chaos with its short strokes. Overlapping, shadowing, and colour perspective create mass and space while the setting is limitless. I indulge in the constant nature of change, inspiration, communication with the painting medium, momentary sensation, and wonder, which I capture onto the surface. Everything seems light and spontaneous, yet it journals my internal dialogue with reality. My painting endeavours call for a systematic, sometimes even scientific, approach due to the complexity of alcohol ink. Despite the seemingly abstract nature of my paintings due to the spontaneous visual language of points, colour surfaces, and textures intertwining, they are still essentially impressionist.

All matter in the universe is comprised of small particles called atoms. They are invisible to the eye yet essential to animate and inanimate nature. The smallest detectable particles under the microscope that make up a whole from the distance or another perspective are proof of energy communicating with all that surrounds us.

I am in continuos progress evolving and constantly adding my impressions in new way of communicating with mediums. Graphite pencil and inks with mixed media allow me to add to the abstraction subtile line desaperaing in particles of the painting. The final touch is reproducing in large scale on XXL CANVAS TIZIAN this my specific painting tecnic and composed well communicates easly self standing.
