Ivo Alvarone art – Emotional Landscape at IAXAI

30 June 2019 Post-painterly Abstraction

Ivo Alvarone art. Ivo vas born in the Italian Piedmont, in Moncalieri, near Turin, at five he moved with his family d to Bologna. Initially, at the suggestion of his father, a medivist with a passion for art, he began studying art history. After a year he felt too confined, disappointed and gave up. He traveled extensively through Europe, sketching landscape, painting watercolors and enjoying a happy-go-life time. Then, as he promised to his father, Ivo resumed studies. This time at the faculty of painting. During his studies he became interested in the philosophy of transhumanism. He actively participated in the movement for the protection of nature. He was also fascinated by Italian abstract painting. He lives and works in a small studio, which affects the size of his work. Small, image formats, drawings and watercolors allow for formal and technical searches. He likes to experiment. He exhibits at many mini exhibitions.

The subject of Ivo Alvarone painting is nature, especially traditional landscape. For that Ivo uses traditional materials, paints and a brush on paper or canvas. Ivo Alvarone try to render movement and life. Everything is captured in a spontaneous dance and brush movement when it meets the canvas. When painting on canvas he does not feel the need to go back and correct. It is an emotional, spontaneous, honest record. Alvarone treats painting personally as an expression of his emotions.
Lay hold of light is everything! As a painter, he always remembers the light at places where he was painting. Light is my inspiration. Its elusive quality changes the landscape in just a few seconds. Ivo Alvarone tries to convey this sense of place and time by capturing its fleeting magic.

Initially, at the suggestion of his father, a medievalist with a passion for art, he began studying art history. After a year he felt too confined, disappointed and gave up. Ivo Alvarone traveled extensively through Europe, sketching landscape, painting watercolors and enjoying a happy-go-life time. Then, as he promised to his father, Ivo resumed studies. This time at the faculty of painting. During his studies he became vividly interested in the philosophy of transhumanism which pushed him, in an indirect but very logical way, into being an active member of the pro nature movement in his community. Ivo Alvarone lives and works in a small studio, shying away from big exhibitions, prefers to confine to a private, small, audience that follows his experiments with true interest.
In his watercolors and drawings, he takes the viewer into his own world of nature. Nature being his preferred subject. His unique technique consists of a subtle and slowly deepening mixture of overlapping form that conveys his sensitivity. Ivo Alvarone works in series by discovering and applying new pictorial techniques, goes beyond conventions, opens different artistic doors leading through his own experience.
