Marija Nikolic – Black X White – Group exhibition
Description of the event:
Our first group show of 2021 is setting an accent on the non-color, the monochrome. With a minimalist approach in the foreground, we present new works of our artists Alexandra Huelbach, Monika Kovatsch and Marija Nikolic, who are not only dealing with the idea of non-color but are also touching related social themes around the „Black and White“ and „Black Lives Matter“ movement. The complexity of the subject, deep-rooted personal beliefs, historical facts as well as the many events during the latest years – all these were impulses for creativity, giving birth to different, yet strong artistic approaches. Not having the target of going into a deep examination of the above-mentioned themes, our show has a single, overall statement: We Are All Equal.
