This gallery of harbour’s and landscapes contains work mainly from Cornwall, but also Wales and the Spanish island of Menorca. The works are based on actual places whether from an aerial, frontal or multiple perspective and always with a real element of the place incorporated into the painting. My work is not pretty, “I like some grittiness in the landscape” often man-made structures, eg harbour walls, tin mine shafts or perhaps menacing rock formations with often with Lanyonesque vertiginous viewpoints.
